Supporting Children with SEND at Meadow View Nursery

At Meadow View Nursery, we are fully committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported.

We recognise that all children develop at their own pace, and some may need additional help to reach their full potential. Our team works closely with families and outside professionals to provide tailored support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their individual needs are met with care, understanding, and respect.  Our experienced staff follow the SEND Code of Practice and are trained to identify and respond to a range of needs, creating personalised strategies and using a graduated approach to support each child. We believe in working in partnership with parents every step of the way, celebrating progress and putting the child at the centre of everything we do.  We are proud to have Kate Dickinson as our SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) and Sharon Lishman as our SEND Champion. Both are passionate and experienced in supporting children with additional needs and are dedicated to ensuring inclusive, high-quality provision for all.  We also work in close collaboration with Westmorland and Furness Local Authority, as well as other external agencies, to ensure families have access to the right support, advice, and resources at the right time.

At Meadow View Nursery, every child matters — and every child belongs.
