​Forest School

 

Our Forest school is an inspirational process which offer young children the chance to visit the same woodland setting over a period of time.

 

Through hands on experiences, children learn boundaries of acceptable behaviour; they develop physically and socially and begin to assess their own risks. The forest helps to build confidence and self esteem and enables children to gain an awareness and respect for the environment

 

Each week, our children venture to our very special forest school situated at the rear of our nursery, where new skills are learnt and new friendships formed.

 

Children visit the forest for one session each week where they are free to explore the ever changing woodland, cook on the campfire, use real tools for real purposes, build shelters, enjoy nature crafts, participate in team building games and so much more!
